UPDATE: Academic Assembly

First of all hello and welcome to our new blog! My name is Justin Epstein and I'm one of the Eli Broad representatives for ASMSU Academic Assembly. I hope that this blog can help breach the communication gap between students and their representatives. So please don't hesitate to leave comments or contact me if you have any questions.

Today Academic Assembly of ASMSU will be meeting at 6:30 PM on the third floor of student services. All tax-paying students are welcome to come and speak during public comment, so please come voice your opinions!

I will be introducing two new bills to the assembly tomorrow:

1. A bill to: have ASMSU Academic Assembly go on a state-advocacy trip every fall and spring semester, instead of only once every other year.

2. A bill to: Explore the idea of creating an ASMSU textbook swap/sale website.

If you have any questions, would like further explaining, or would like to know the status of either of these bills just shoot me an email.

Also, we will be exploring the possibility of Haiti relief art auction. Details to come soon. If you or any of your friends are interested in helping plan or volunteer for this event please let me know.

Again, If anyone has any questions for me feel free to contact me via email or facebook.

Welcome and hello, a bit about myself:

Hello everyone,
My name is Ben Wernette and I am a Business Representative of the College of Business for ASMSU, Michigan State's student government. If you are a member of ASMSU (most MSU students are, you pay dues when with your tuition) you might have some questions for me. The best way to contact me is by emailing me at my school address, which is wernet14@msu.edu. If you ever have any comments of questions please feel free to contact me, I would love to talk and listen to what you have to say.
This is my first post on blogger and I am still trying to figure out this system, so if I make any mistakes or do something stupid, I apologize. Also, because I am new to this service, I am still not totally sure what I plan to do with this blog. I want to make full use of this blog and I plan on trying to answer questions and get more people involved.
In the next few weeks I plan on talking about everything that I do in ASMSU and my goals for the future of ASMSU.
Because I tend to write a great deal, if you are short on time, at the end of each blog I will just recap everything in the article that I wrote about. You can find this here:
1) My name is Ben Werentte, a business rep. for ASMSU, and this is the first time I have used blogger.
2) If you every have any questions please contact me!!!
